Reminder

The Summer Showdown is coming up on June 24th. We are on the lookout for volunteers for this one day event. Please email Anna@crossfitwinnipeg.com if you want to help.

Scheduling updates

We’ll be making some minor adjustments to the schedule over the summer, due to competitions as well as some of the classes being slower this time of year.

  • Youth Olympic Weightlifting Classes on Monday & Wednesday at 6PM cancelled for June.
  • We still have one or two spots left in the 6 week Olympic Weightlifting Training Camp. Please speak with Anna or email memberships @crossfitwinnipeg.com if you want a spot.

  • July 29 – CFW Barbell Classic

Our focus for the CrossFit Group programming for month of June will be scapular stability. How we are able to control the position of our should blades during CrossFit exercises plays an important role in shoulder health, so we’ll be taking some time in June for some drills that will help with all of our overhead lifts, as well as gymnastics movements. You’ll be seeing this mostly in the prep component of the workout, and sometimes in the skill & strength component.

Monday: Testing – Squat strength + full body conditioning – Special staff Birthday WOD

Tuesday: Training – pressing strength + benchmark workout

Wednesday: Training – Longer Conditioning

Thursday: Practice – Olympic Weightlifting  strength + conditioning

Friday: Testing – Gymnastics + full body conditioning – special Staff Birthday WOD

Saturday: Training Squat + conditioning

Sunday: Make up a workout you missed or do the benchmark of the week.
